The completed mechanical is not required at the time of judging, however, space for type, placing of type, and typeface style may be indicated by using an overlay.  No lettering should be included on the art itself, unless you feel it is intrinsic to the design.  All recommendations from the artist as to design will be considered, but COTA reserves the right to execute the final design of the poster.  The artist whose poster is selected will receive a commission of $350.00. With your submission please include your name, address, email address, and telephone number.

In creating the design, please bear in mind that the official COTA poster is the primary marketing tool of  the festival and that, in addition to the poster, the chosen design will also be used on the brochure, T-shirts, etc.  Additionally, please keep in mind that (1) the year 2013 will mark COTA’s 36th Annual Festival;  (2) that COTA is primarily a jazz and arts festival; and (3) that COTA has been held in the picturesque town of Delaware Water Gap for the past 36 years.

The deadline for all entries for the jazz festival poster is May 31, 2013.  Entries may either be (1) mailed to:  COTA, Board of Directors, Post Office Box 249, Delaware Water Gap, PA 18327, or (2) delivered to the office of Stone, Trembly & Associates, 819 Ann St, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or (3) emailed to info@cotajazz.org.
